A residential suburb of New Bern

Riverside is a designated Historic District close to downtown New Bern and the Neuse River.
It encompasses 101 contributing buildings and 4 contributing sites. It was developed as a suburban residential neighborhood in New Bern between 1894 and 1921. The district is characterized by dwellings in the Classical Revival, Queen Anne, and Bungalow / American Craftsman styles.

Historic Riverside Neighborhood Association (HRNA) 
A friendly voluntary neighborhood association with a focus on community, philanthropy, and FUN!

Represents the community on issues involving the City of New Bern government. Recently succeeded in reducing the speed limit from 35mph to 25mph through Riverside.
Actively works on the appearance and historic preservation of the neighborhood.
Members take pride in gathering any litter they see when walking in the neighborhood.
Activities throughout the year.
