About Side A The ground floor and first floor each have a 1,000 sq. ft. area. There is also a full height basement with both inside and outside access. Side A is on the right (South) side of the building.
Entries and Access Entry is via the vestibule on the front porch or the kitchen door to the back porch. From the back porch the patio leads to a gate on Avenue B or to a gate and pathway alongside the building to National Avenue. A staircase in the corridor provides access up to the upper floor. Behind the staircase is the door to the basement steps.
The Bathroom Identical to Side B. It is designed for handicap access, the shower area is large with a no lip teak grating. There is both an overhead "rain" shower and an adjustable wall/hand shower. Original bead board walls surround the tiled sink counter. All bathrooms have no noise externally ducted fans that can be controlled based on humidity.
The Living Rooms The two living rooms are connected by a wide doorway that gives a large semi open living area. The room that looks out on the front porch is typically used as the lounge. The other room is suited as a dining room as it has doors to the corridor and back hall. Both rooms are spacious with high ceilings, windows, oak mantlepieces and restored oiled wood floors.
The Kitchen The kitchen is large enough for an eating nook that looks out onto the back yard. It has easy access to the dining room and back porch thereby providing choices of where to eat. The kitchen has a gas stove with hood, a microwave, refrigerator with freezer and a dishwasher. The cabinets are solid wood stained maple. An exposed chimney adds character to the room.
The Corridor Side A has painted skirting boards and light stained wood and high ceilings which along with being south facing makes the wide corridor and rooms light and airy.
